Certaintly, race will matter in the U.S in 2050 and beyond. It is evident that the world has not completley accepted the fact that there are interracial marriages. According to the article, "Acceptance of interracial marriage is up: 54 percent in 1995 vs. 80 percent today. " Page 41.
Clearly, There is still a 20% either undecided or non-accepted rate. I believe that there will always be a hint of segregation between different races. However, I believe race is nothing more than a social construct and shouldn't have this effect on people. I believe we are all one kind. Human-kind and therefore we are all of the same species and or "race." I also believe race will play a role in the workforce. It seems as though people are still segregated against when it comes to applying for jobs and different programs, Therefore, I believe by 2050, race will play a minor
roll.
